Dane Sweeny vs Lorenzo Musetti prediction

Dane Sweeny could not have hoped for a better US Open debut with the world number 123 sweeping aside an off-colour Corentin Moutet on Tuesday. After winning the first two sets, Sweeny was leading 3-0 in the the third before his opponent called it a day.

Having also made the second round of the Australian Open in January, the Australian clearly enjoys the big stage and his game is suited well to hard courts.

This will be a significant step-up in quality though, with Lorenzo Musetti undoubtedly one of the most dangerous players on tour. The Italian is still finding his groove after suffering a succession of injuries earlier in the year, but his straight-sets win over Arthur Fery in the first round was a hugely positive sign.

Sweeny's US Open campaign is likely to come to an end here and we fancy Musetti to make his superiority tell.
