Damir Dzumhur vs Matteo Arnaldi prediction

Damir Dzumhur advanced to his second quarter-final of the season after he got past Juan Carlos Prado Angelo in straight sets. The Bosnian converted six out of seven break points as he wrapped up a 7-6 (2) 6-1 victory. Dzumhur had lost his first-round match against Arthur Fery at Wimbledon, despite going up a set and a break. The veteran will be hoping for one of his best results of the campaign. 

He will now face Matteo Arnaldi. The Italian recovered from a slight dip in the second set to beat Federico Agustin Gomez. This was Arnaldi’s first tournament on clay since his incredible run to the semi-finals of Roland Garros, and he ended up winning 6-3 5-7 6-3.

If Dzumhur is able to keep rallies long and frustrate Arnaldi, he has a good chance of winning. However, Arnaldi could soon take control with his groundstrokes, especially if his first serve is firing from the start.
