Crvena Zvezda vs Lille prediction

The first-leg of this UEFA Europa League knockout playoff round tie saw Crvena Zvezda produce something of a surprising victory at Stade Pierre-Mauroy in the north of France with a first-half stoppage-time winner scored by Franklin Tebo Uchenna.

Red Star haven’t been as dominant domestically this season but a 3-0 hammering of arch-rivals Partizan Belgrade ensure that they remain at the top-of-the-table domestically. The reason last week’s win may not be that much of a surprise is because it continued Lille’s winless start to 2026 with Bruno Genesio under pressure as the French outfit went ten matches without a win across all competitions.

A potentially season turning 1-0 win at Angers at the weekend may well have changed things for Lille but they remain a team lacking fluency and much confidence – and Red Star will be confident of ensuring they get the low-scoring clash that they would prefer.

Crvena Zvezda vs Lille tip: Under 2.5 goals
