Chelsea team news: Moises Caicedo a doubt

Key man in midfield, Moises Caicedo, landed awkwardly on his ankle against Fluminense in the semi-finals but seems like he may be fit for the final. Enzo Maresca faces a dilemma of how to get the returning Liam Delap into the side alongside Joao Pedro, who notched a brace in the final four against his former club.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; James, Chalobah, Colwill, Cucurella; Fernandez, Moises Caicedo; Palmer, Joao Pedro, Neto; Delap

Unavailable: Badiashile (Injured)

Questionable: Moises Caicedo (Injured)

Paris Saint-Germain team news: Defensive suspensions

Ousmane Dembele has regained full fitness through this tournament and he will lead an extremely attacking and entertaining PSG front-line. However, Luis Enrique does still have an issue in defence as Moises Caicedo’s international teammate Willian Pacho is suspended alongside back-up left-back Lucas Hernandez.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Beraldo, Mendes; Neves, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia

Unavailable: Willian Pacho (Suspended), Hernandez (Suspended)

Chelsea vs Paris Saint-Germain prediction

Chelsea finished the 2024/25 season well by winning the UEFA Europa Conference League and also qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. They were fortunate that a defeat to Flamengo in the group stages of this competition saw them into the seemingly easier side of the draw which has seen them play Benfica, Palmeiras and Fluminense.

In contrast, the treble winners of Paris Saint-Germain have had to demolish the likes of Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid on their way to the final, as well as producing a 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich with nine-men. They are utterly brilliant and Luis Enrique is seeking to bring world domination to the capital of France.

Chelsea are playing quite well but, frankly, they are facing a far superior side that are also playing extremely well, so a PSG victory is to be expected this weekend.
