CFR Cluj vs Paksi prediction

At the Paksi Stadion in Hungary, Romanian giants CFR Cluj went away from home and earned themselves a goalless draw in the first-leg. That has left them in a reasonable position ahead of welcoming Paksi across the border this week.

Under the management of former Chelsea defender Dan Petrescu, CFR Cluj’s 2024/25 campaign began with a 2-1 loss to FCSB in the Romanian Super Cup final a couple of weeks ago, with FCSB snatching the victory in second-half stoppage-time. Paksi are a team that do appear more naturally suited to the UEFA Europa Conference League, and could well be punching above their weight in this competition.

Despite that, though, Paksi have been able to show they can be stubborn, although CFR Cluj are expected to be favourites for what should be a low-scoring encounter in Romania.

CFR Cluj vs Paksi tip: CFR Cluj to win & under 3.5 goals
