Canada vs Honduras prediction
Canadian fans have every right to be excited heading into the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which their country have not won since 2000. But Les Rouges are entering somewhat of a golden era, with some excellent players across the pitch who boast plenty of experience playing football at a high level whether that be in Europe or in MLS.
Honduras are defensively sound, having not conceded in their last three ahead of this game and winning on all three occasions. But their backline will not be used to be marshalling a striker with the quality that Jonathan David possesses. Canada’s captain in the absence of Alphonso Davies,
David is coming off the back of having netted 25 goals in all competitions for Lille this season, the third campaign in a row where he has registered at least 25 goals in club football. For his country, David has 34 goals in 63 games including three goals in four this year. Regardless of the result here, back the prolific David to get on the scoresheet.
