Brentford preview: Buzzing Bees

Following their tumultuous summer transfer window, whereby Brentford lost manager Thomas Frank as well as Mark Flekken, Christian Norgaard, Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, the Bees have been surprisingly strong so far this season.

They had hit some rocky form in the last month or so but the Bees now come into this one on the back of an impressive 4-1 hammering of AFC Bournemouth the other day, courtesy of a hat-trick scored by Germany international attacker Kevin Schade.

Tottenham preview: Grinding things out

Thomas Frank remains under pressure in charge of Tottenham Hotspur, despite an improvement on a horror domestic season last year, and they did manage to ease some of that pressure with a hard-fought victory at Selhurst Park the other day.

Spurs went away to Crystal Palace and managed to edge past the Eagles by a goal to nil, courtesy of an Archie Gray goal, in what was a more convincing performance than the scoreline suggests in which Richarlison had two goals disallowed.

Brentford team news: Van den Berg remains a doubt

Keith Andrews didn't provide an update on former Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg and he remains a doubt for this one as he deas with a knock.

Andrews remains without Dango Ouattara, who is away at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations with the Burkina Faso, while the likes of Antoni Milambo, Frank Onyeka, Josh Dasilva and Fabio Carvalho are out injured.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Kelleher; Kayode, Ajer, Collins, Henry; Henderson, Yarmolyuk; Lewis-Potter, Damsgaard, Schade; Thiago

Unavailable: Milambo (Injured), Dasilva (Injured), Onyeka (International duty), Carvalho (Injured), Ouattara (International duty)

Questionable: Van den Berg (Injured)

Tottenham team news: Romero returns

Following their victory against Crystal Palace the other day, it has been confirmed by Thomas Frank that there are no fresh injury concerns for Spurs to deal with but Cristian Romero has returned from suspension.

However, Netherlands international attacking midfielder Xavi Simons is still unavailable due to suspension as they deal with plenty of injury issues, while reports suggest Brennan Johnson is set to sign for Crystal Palace.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Palhinha, Bentancur; Kudus, Bergvall, Richarlison; Kolo Muani

Unavailable: Dragusin (Fitness), Takai (Injured), Udogie (Injured), Bissouma (International duty), Sarr (International duty), Simons (Suspended), Kulusevski (Injured), Maddison (Injured), Solanke (Injured)

Questionable:

Brentford vs Tottenham prediction

Brentford have been entertaining to watch throughout the campaign with their 18 matches having consisted of 54 goals. Their attacking intent has also been very impressive throughout, too, with the likes of Schade and Igor Thiago spearheading an intense and direct counter-attacking style. That is expected to at least overwhelm Spurs on occasion and both teams scoring would appear a good bet for this one in the capital city.
