The first-leg of this UEFA Europa League playoff round tie at the Estadio Algarve in Faro last week, Braga hammered Gibraltarian champions Lincoln Red Imps by four goals to nil. Braga opened the scoring in the 34rd minute via Victor Gomez and Rodrigo Zalazar scored a few minutes later to make it 2-0. Zalazar then made it 3-0 in the 80th minute, before former Barcelona attacker Pau Victor scored in second-half stoppage-time.
Braga most recently shared a 2-2 draw with AVS in the Primeira Liga as they seek to once again knock on the door of ‘Os Tres Grandes’. Lincoln Red Imps will already be content enough to be in the league phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
The Lincoln Red Imps can put in performances of pride and them bloodying the nose of Braga shouldn’t be ruled out, but a comfortable victory for the Portuguese is to be expected.
