Borussia Dortmund preview: Impressive Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund, with former Bayern Munich boss Niko Kovac at the helm, have been much-improved since his appointment and they could confirm UEFA Champions League qualification as soon as this weekend.

They are in good form at the moment as a 2-0 victory away at a strong Stuttgart side last weekend, in their most recent outing, extended their current winning streak to four matches in the Bundesliga.

Bayer Leverkusen preview: Inconsistent Leverkusen

Former Denmark manager Kasper Hjulmand is in charge of an impressive Bayer Leverkusen squad that is expected to find its best in the coming seasons, currently pushing for a top four finish with six games to go.

Inconsistency has been an issue for Leverkusen for a while but they did get themselves a victory at the weekend as they entertainingly hammered a surprisingly struggling Wolfsburg by six goals to three at the BayArena.

Borussia Dortmund team news: Adeyemi suspended

Germany international attacker Karim Adeyemi is missing through suspension for this weekend, while key right wing-back Yan Couto is a doubt due to a strain.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Kobel; Anton, Schlotterbeck, Bensebaini; Ryerson, Sabitzer, Bellingham, Svensson; Chukwuemeka, Beier; Guirassy

Unavailable: Mane (Injured), Can (Injured), Nmecha (Injured), Adeyemi (Suspended)

Questionable: Couto (Injured)

Bayer Leverkusen team news: A few doubts

England international centre-back Jarell Quansah is a doubt for this weekend due to a thigh injury, while former Real Madrid man Lucas Vazquez is also potentially unavailable.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Flekken; Bade, Andrich, Tapsoba; Culbreath, Palacios, Ezequiel Fernandez, Alex Grimaldo; Maza, Tella; Kofane

Unavailable: Terrier (Injured)

Questionable: Quansah (Injured), Lucas Vazquez (Injured), Arthur (Injured)

Borussia Dortmund vs Bayer Leverkusen prediction

Leverkusen have some serious firepower in their side, as shown in their display against Wolfsburg. The visitors are also in good form, in terms of being difficult to defeat. Dortmund, though, have become a lot more trustworthy than they have been in the past and so will still be favourites for this one, albeit Leverkusen will be confident of bloodying the hosts' nose and ensuring it is as entertaining as it may seem on paper a few days out from the game.
