Key Stats

  • Lesotho have won only three of their previous 33 World Cup qualifying matches (D13 L17).

Benin vs Lesotho Prediction

In Group C of CAF qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Benin have started their campaign with three victories, two draws and two defeats as they sit just above Nigeria in the hunt for a playoff berth, still some way off group leaders South Africa. They now face a Lesotho side that have managed just one victory in their seven matches thus far, and they are five points adrift of Benin but can close that gap to two points.

Benin come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat of Zimbabwe the other day, courtesy of a 77th minute winner scored by former Huddersfield Town striker Steve Mounie. Lesotho, on the other hand, suffered a 3-0 hammering at the hands of South Africa.

Lesotho do stand a chance of qualification if they can edge through to three points here, but Benin would have to remain as favourites for this one, even without home advantage as this match is being played in Abidjan in the Ivory Coast.

Benin vs Lesotho Tip: Benin to win
