Austria are continuing on in the Ralf Rangnick era as Das Team kick off their UEFA Nations League 2026-27 campaign against Israel in Linz.

Austria vs Israel prediction
Having reached the round of 32 at the FIFA World Cup before being beaten by eventual champions Spain, the Austrians have a changed squad now with the likes of David Alaba, Florian Grillitsch and Marcel Sabitzer left out by Rangnick and Marko Arnautovic opting to retire internationally.
Israel have some players coming through that should make them strong in the coming years, such as Dan Peretz, Anan Khalaili and Roy Revivo as well as stars Oscar Gloukh and Manor Solomon. They were relegated from League A in the 2024-25 campaign.
Israel will seek to be competitive in a tough League B group alongside Ireland and Kosovo but Austria do remain favourites with their home advantage here.
