Atalanta preview: Finding form

Atalanta begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting seventh in the Serie A table and just four points behind Juventus, five behind fourth placed Como with seven games to go after back-to-back victories either side of the March international break.

The Bergamasci managed to hammer Lecce by three goals to nil in their most recent outing at Stadio Comunale Via del Mare, courtesy of goals from Giorgio Scalvini, Nikola Krstovic and Giacomo Raspadori.

Juventus preview: In the hunt

Juventus are just a point outside of the top four and the UEFA Champions League spots and the Bianconeri have rediscovered some form in the last month or so under the management of Luciano Spalletti.

The Old Lady most recently eased to a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Genoa at the Allianz Stadium in Turin last weekend with strikes from Bremer and Weston McKennie inside 17 minutes.

Atalanta team news: Nothing fresh

There are no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues to deal with for this weekend as centre-back Isak Hien remains sidelined alongside experienced striker Gianluca Scamacca.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Carnesecchi; Scalvini, Djimsiti, Kolasinac; Zappacosta, De Roon, Ederson, Bernasconi; De Ketelaere, Zalewski; Krstovic

Unavailable: Hien (Injured), Scamacca (Injured)

Questionable:

Juventus team news: McKennie suspended

United States international midfielder Weston McKennie is now missing through suspension for this one, while Vasil Adzic is also sidelined due to an ankle injury.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Bremer, Kelly, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Thuram; Conceicao, Miretti, Yildiz; David

Unavailable: McKennie (Suspended), Adzic (Injured), Vlahovic (Injured)

Questionable: Perin (Injured)

Atalanta vs Juventus prediction

Juventus are not quite at the fluent best of a Spalletti side but they are beginning to find a groove, as best shown by their early match blitz of Genoa in Turin last weekend. Atalanta are rediscovering their attacking identity themselves with Raffaele Palladino at the helm and it should be quite a good watch for the neutral in Bergamo on Saturday night.

Atalanta vs Juventus tip: Over 2.5 goals
