Andrey Rublev vs Andrea Pellegrino prediction
Andrey Rublev was an early casualty at Wimbledon as he lost in the first-round following a five set epic with Roman Safiullin. He also lost his opening round match at Halle, and Rublev will be seeking to end a three-match losing run when he begins his campaign at the Swedish Open. The Russian won this tournament in 2023, beating Casper Ruud in the final. Rublev is without a title since the Qatar Open in February 2025, though he did advance to a final in Barcelona earlier this season.
He received a bye in the first-round and now takes on Andrea Pellegrino. The Italian enjoyed a comfortable win over Nicolai Budkov Kjaer in the previous stage of the tournament. Pellegrino won six of the last seven games as he completed a 6-3 6-2 victory after one hour and 22 minutes.
Rublev will view this as an ideal opportunity to return to winning ways, and he should have too much quality for Pellegrino.
