Andrey Rublev vs Alejandro Tabilo prediction
Andrey Rublev continued his progress at the Swedish Open as he thrashed Sebastian Baez in straight sets to reach the semi-finals. The top seed, who won this tournament in 2023, conceded just one break point as he won 6-1 6-2. Baez had defeated Rublev in the semi-final stage of this event four years ago.
He will now play Alejandro Tabilo. The Chilean progressed to the semi-finals after his last eight opponent Thiago Agustin Tirante withdrew from the tournament. Tabilo now has the chance to reach a second tour-level final in 2026, having achieved the feat at the Rio Open.
The head-to-head is locked at 1-1, but this will be their first match against each other on a clay court. Tabilo did win their most recent meeting in Miami earlier this year, coming from a set down to win. He will also have an extra day to prepare for this one, and it will be Rublev’s biggest test of the tournament so far.
