Anastasia Potapova vs Suzan Lamens prediction
Anastasia Potapova rounded off a very strong clay court season as she reached the round-of-16 at Roland Garros. Her run ended after a loss to Anna Kalinskaya, but she did pull off one of the upsets of the tournament as she beat defending champion Coco Gauff in round three. Potapova also reached the semi-finals of the Madrid Open as a lucky loser, along with the fourth-round in Rome.
She is now back inside the top 30, and is seeded fifth at this tournament. Her first-round opponent at the Libema Open is Suzan Lamens. She was unable to qualify for Roland Garros as she was beaten by Maja Chwalinska in the final qualifying stage. Lamens lost in two close sets, with Chwalinska remarkably going on to make the final of the event.
Potapova came from a set down to beat Lamens in the first-round of this year’s Australian Open. She doesn’t have the strongest record on grass, but she’s in superb form and will be a clear favourite to win this opening match.
