In the first-leg of this UEFA Europa League first qualifying round tie at the Sheriff Arena in Tiraspol in Transnistria, Aluminij and Sheriff Tiraspol shared a goalless draw with Sheriff having 24 shots and 63% of the possession during quite an open game.
Aluminij have never played European football before, finishing seventh in the Slovenian top-flight last season but managing to qualify by winning the Slovenian Cup. Sheriff have dipped since their highs of 2021 when they qualified for the group stages of the UEFA Champions League and famously won at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid.
Sheriff were the better side last week and should fancy themselves to score here but ceding home advantage could be a big deal and so both teams scoring appears a decent bet.
