Alexander Bublik made short work of in-form Alex Molcan to race into the last four in Kitzbuhel.
The defending champion maintained his push for back-to-back titles with a 6-3 6-2 victory over the Slovakian.
The top seed will now meet Tomas Martin Etcheverry for a spot in the final after the Argentine won an all-South American affair 6-2 7-5 against Peru’s Ignacio Buse.
Bublik leads the head-to-head 1-0 having won 7-6 7-6 6-4 at this year’s Australian Open. The Kazakhstani star also triumphed 6-2 3-6 7-5 on clay in a lower tier event in Turin back in 2025.
We feel it may follow a similar pattern to the latter, with both players having their moments in a keenly-contested affair, but if pushed for the outright winner we’d side with the current champion.
