Alexander Bublik vs Adrian Mannarino prediction

After having a month off since reaching the final of the Generali Open in late July, Alexander Bublik returned to action with a four-set victory over J.J. Wolf in the first round at Flushing Meadows.

The 15th seed served 18 aces but also landed ten double faults in a somewhat inconsistent display, although he was clinical against the serve, converting seven of his eight break point opportunities.

His second-round opponent, Adrian Mannarino, showed all his fighting qualities to come from two sets down against Thiago Agustin Tirante on Sunday, eventually coming through in five sets.

The 38-year-old reached the fourth round at the US Open last year, his best showing in New York, and he did beat Bublik on hard courts in their most recent meeting in 2025.

Bublik is the higher-ranked player and should be the fresher of the two, but Mannarino is a wily competitor and it wouldn't be surprising if he was to nick at least a set here.
