Al Ahli vs Neom prediction

Still coached by former Red Bull Salzburg boss Matthias Jaissle, Al Ahli boast a star studded squad that consists of Edouard Mendy, Franck Kessie, Riyad Mahrez and Ivan Toney, with Enzo Millot also joining from Stuttgart. They have often underwhelmed domestically under Jaissle, but won last season’s AFC Champions League.

Neom gained promotion back to the top-flight of Saudi Arabian football last season as second-tier winners, and they have appointed former Nice and Paris Saint-Germain boss Christophe Galtier. That has been followed by some impressive business, too, such as Said Benrahma, Alexandre Lacazette and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Neom have some work to do to catch up with the best in the Saudi Pro League, but they have made a good start over the summer, and this should be quite an entertaining opening game.

Al Ahli vs Neom tip: Both teams to score
