Wolfsburg Preview: Hasenhuttl’s Wolfsburg

With his naturally intense philosophy, Wolfsburg have been good to watch this season and their 26 Bundesliga matches have consisted of 89 goals but they did head into the March international break on the back of just one win in their last four matches.

Their most recent outing saw them suffer a 1-0 loss to a similarly in-form Augsburg side at the WWK Arena a couple of weeks ago with Philip Tietz scoring in the 53rd minute winner. They remain tucked inside the top-half ahead of the weekend.

Heidenheim Preview: Struggling Heidenheim

After finishing eighth in the Bundesliga last season and qualifying for the UEFA Europa Conference League in their first ever top-flight campaign, Heidenheim have massively regressed as they begin the match day sitting in the relegation playoff place.

The visitors come into this one on the back of a desperately much-needed ending to their winless run of form. They defeated Holstein Kiel by three goals to one at the Voith-Arena thanks to goals from Marvin Pieringer, Budu Zivzivadze and Saikou Conteh.

Wolfsburg Team News: Amoura suspended

Wolfsburg striker Mohamed Amoura has enjoyed an impressive campaign and scored five goals in two games for Algeria over the international break but he is now missing through suspension as they also deal with several injury doubts.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Grabara; Fischer, Odogu, Koulierakis, Maehle; Dardai, Arnold, Svanberg; Tomas, Wind, Skov Olsen

Unavailable: Bornauw (Injured), Majer (Injured), Amoura (Suspended)

Questionable: Rogerio (Injured), Vavro (Injured), Roerslev (Injured), Gerhardt (Injured), Nmecha (Injured), Bialek (Injured), Paredes (Injured)

Heidenheim Team News: No Traore

Heidenheim will be without defender Omar Traore for this weekend as he is missing through suspension. They also have a couple of availability doubts such as Julian Niehues due to injury and Paul Wanner due to illness.

Predicted XI (3-4-1-2): Muller; Busch, Mainka, Gimber; Conteh, Dorsch, Schoppner, Kratzig; Beck; Zivzivadze, Pieringer

Unavailable: Traore (Suspended)

Questionable: Niehues (Injured), Wanner (Illness)

Wolfsburg vs Heidenheim Prediction

Wolfsburg will seek to get themselves back on the winning track this weekend, although the absence of the aforementioned Amoura could be a crucial one. However, as mentioned, they are free scoring without their key Algeria international. Heidenheim, despite their crucial victory the other day, are a weak team and appear very likely to finish in the bottom three. Especially at Wolfsburg, this one should be a home win.

Wolfsburg vs Heidenheim Tip: Wolfsburg to win
