Wolfsburg have dramatically underperformed and they are in real danger in the Bundesliga as they welcome an entertaining Eintracht Frankfurt side.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – ESPN

How to watch online: UK – Cannot be streamed / US – ESPN+

Wolfsburg preview: Struggling hosts

Wolfsburg come into this one on the back of a 6-3 hammering at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena with Wolfsburg having been 3-1 up in that game just before half-time.

Experienced manager Dieter Hecking was brought in last month but it hasn’t brought about an improvement as they begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting in the bottom two and the automatic relegation places.

Eintracht Frankfurt preview: Entertaining visitors

Albert Riera has continued the entertaining football that was implemented by Dino Toppmoller at Eintracht Frankfurt as the former Celje boss seeks to deliver a top six finish at the back end of this season.

The visitors most recently shared a 2-2 draw with Cologne last weekend in a game that burst into life in the second-half, seeing Frankfurt give away a two-goal lead late on at the Deutsche Bank Park.

Wolfsburg team news: Koulierakis suspended

Greece international defender Konstantinos Koulierakis is now missing through suspension for this weekend, while the likes of Jonas Wind has now been ruled out, too, due to injury.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Grabara; Belocian, Vavro, Zehnter; Kumbedi, Eriksen, Vinicius Souza, Maehle; Wimmer, Amoura; Pejcinovic

Unavailable: Cleiton (Injured), Seelt (Injured), Rogerio (Injured), Fischer (Injured), Koulierakis (Suspended), Dardai (Injured), Wind (Injured)

Questionable: Svanberg (Injured)

Eintracht Frankfurt team news: A few injuries

First-choice goalkeeper Kaua Santos remains sidelined for Frankfurt this weekend alongside both Nnamdi Collins and Rasmus Nissen Kristensen, with key man Jean-Matteo Bahoya also a doubt due to a thigh injury.

Predicted XI (X-X-X-X): TBC

Unavailable: Santos (Injured), Collins (Injured), Kristensen (Injured)

Questionable: Bahoya (Injured)

Wolfsburg vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction

Wolfsburg were expected to become a bit more controlled with the management of Hecking but that has not happened and they do appear to be a rabble at the moment. Frankfurt remain frustratingly inconsistent but they do have a lot of attacking potential and are, simply, a much better side that should come out on top in a likely fun watch for the neutral at the Volkswagen Arena.

Wolfsburg vs Eintracht Frankfurt tip: Eintracht Frankfurt to win & over 2.5 goals
