The Wellington Phoenix finished as runners’ up in the A League regular season last year but have massively regressed this time around ahead of the visit of Perth Glory to New Zealand.

Wellington Phoenix vs Perth Glory prediction

The Wellington Phoenix come into this one on the back of a 3-2 defeat to Adelaide United in South Australia in their most recent outing last weekend. That was their third successive loss and they have now managed just six victories in 25 matches this season as they begin the 26th match day of the campaign sitting 11th in the table.

One of the two teams sitting below the Wellington Phoenix are Perth Glory, who have managed just three wins themselves instead. The Western Australians most recently suffered a 1-0 loss to league leaders Auckland in New Zealand last weekend, which came on the back of a 4-1 hammering of the aforementioned Adelaide United in Perth.

These are two poor sides that have struggled for any sort of form or fluency throughout the campaign but they have lacked more at the back so both teams scoring is a good bet.
