Watford vs Sheffield Wednesday prediction

Under the management of former midfielder Tom Cleverley, who is being linked with a move to Norwich City this summer, Watford come into this one on the back of a poor end to the campaign. The Hornets have now suffered four successive losses with their most recent outing being a 2-1 defeat to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park last weekend.

They now face a Sheffield Wednesday side that are also finishing with a bit of a whimper having managed just one victory in their last eight matches. The Owls have some off-field issues to deal with and their own manager, Danny Rohl, is also being linked with a move away with Southampton reportedly interested in the 35-year-old German coach.

This is one of the few games in the Championship this week to have little riding on it and neither side appear overly motivated with a low-scoring encounter to be expected at Vicarage Road.

Watford vs Sheffield Wednesday tip: Under 3.5 goals
