Viktoria Plzen have developed an impressive European pedigree in the last decade or so. The Czech giants finished second in the Czech First League last season, under the management of Miroslav Koubek. They were beaten by Lazio in the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League last season.

They now face a Servette side that, coached by Thomas Haberli, finished second in the 2025/26 Swiss Super League last season. They failed to reach the league phase of any UEFA competition last year, having been drawn against eventual winners Chelsea in the playoffs of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Once again Servette will be cursing their luck, because the Swiss side have again suffered from an extremely tough draw and Viktoria Plzen would have to be favourites.
