Osasuna preview: Poor Osasuna

Having survived relegation on the final day of last season, Osasuna took the decision to appoint Luis Miguel Ramis from Burgos. Known for his extremely defensive and conservative style, Osasuna look defensively woeful at the moment.

That was exposed once again last weekend as they succumbed to a 5-2 loss to Real Betis at La Cartuja in Seville with an Isco brace and goals from Abde Ez and Jose Antonio scoring for Betis as well as an Ante Budimir own goal.

Racing Santander preview: Entertaining Racing

Following their promotion to the top-flight last season, Racing Santander have been extremely entertaining to watch this season with the Cantabrians’ eight matches in La Liga having consisted of 36 goals.

They enjoyed another thriller at El Sardinero last week as they shared a 2-2 draw with struggling Valencia, going behind early on before then going ahead and being pegged back by Los Che in the second half.

Osasuna team news: Fresh injuries

Osasuna have fresh injury issues for this one as Romain Del Castillo is a confirmed absentee with fellow attackers Aimar Oroz, Raul Garcia and Kike Barja now all doubtful, too.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Aitor Fernandez; Inigo Arguibide, Alejandro Catena, Boyomo, Abel Bretones; Ruben Garcia, Jon Moncayola, Lucas Torro, Moi Gomez; Budimir, Dubasin

Unavailable: Jorge Herrando (Injured), Asier Bonel (Injured), Del Castillo (Injured), Raul Moro (Injured)

Questionable: Aimar Oroz (Injured), Raul Garcia (Injured), Kike Barja (Injured)

Racing Santander team news: Prati a doubt

Summer signing Matteo Prati is a doubt for this weekend due to a thigh injury, while back-up goalkeeper Simon Eriksson has suffered a setback in his recovery from a shoulder issue.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Julen Agirrezabala; Alvaro Mantilla, Pablo Ramon, Belocian, Jorge Salinas; Ivan Martin, Gueye; Sergio Canales, Almeida, Inigo Vicente; Zabiri

Unavailable:

Questionable: Eriksson (Fitness), Prati (Injured)

Osasuna vs Racing Santander prediction

Osasuna look a bit of a mess at the moment. The hosts have collected just a point in five games since beginning the season well, conceding 17 goals in those five matches. Racing have been a fun watch and will again seek to take the game to their opposition in Navarre here, and the hosts are now desperate, too, and so a high-scoring contest seems a decent bet for this one on Sunday.

Osasuna vs Racing Santander tip: Over 2.5 goals
