Viktoria Plzen vs Lazio Prediction

Viktoria Plzen were difficult to play against and beat during the league phase of the UEFA Europa League as the Czech side now prepare to welcome a Lazio side firmly in the hunt for a top four finish in Serie A.

Viktoria Plzen come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 defeat at Mlada Boleslav at the weekend as they sit 13 points behind league leaders Slavia Prague domestically. They came through a UEFA Europa League knockout playoff round tie with a 3-0 win in the second-leg against Hungarian champions Ferencvaros to win 3-1 on aggregate.

Lazio, under the management of former Hellas Verona boss Marco Baroni, come into this one on the back of a dramatic 2-1 victory over AC Milan at San Siro at the weekend, defeating the Rossoneri with a 98th minute penalty scored by the experienced Pedro. They are unbeaten in their last five matches in Serie A as they travel to Czechia.

Viktoria Plzen, as mentioned, will attempt to make themselves difficult to break down so it may not be a thriller for the neutral but Lazio do remain the favourites for this one.

Viktoria Plzen vs Lazio Tip: Lazio to win & under 3.5 goals
