Surprisingly, the first-leg of this one was quite nervy and tense with Hungarian champions Ferencvaros edging past Viktoria Plzen by a goal to nil in Budapest last week.

Viktoria Plzen vs Ferencvaros Prediction

In the first-leg of this UEFA Europa League knockout playoff round tie at the Groupama Arena in the Hungarian capital last week, Ferencvaros defeated Viktoria Plzen by a goal to nil thanks to a 23rd minute winner scored by Israel international Mohammad Abu Fani.

Ferencvaros, now under the management of former Maccabi Tel-Aviv boss Robbie Keane, have remained underwhelming domestically as they backed that defeat of Viktoria up with a 2-0 loss at home to Paksi. That means they are now winless in four matches in the league and sit five points behind league leaders Puskas Akademia.

Viktoria Plzen are also some way off the league leaders in their domestic league as they sit second and ten points adrift of Slavia Prague in the Czech First League. They were relatively impressive in the league phase of this competition and showed themselves as difficult to beat and play against.

Given that ability to make things difficult for their opposition, as well as their home advantage, they would seem well placed to turn things around in this tie and progress into the Round of 16.

Viktoria Plzen vs Ferencvaros Tip: Viktoria Plzen to win
