Venezia are trying to give themselves a fighting chance of survival with improved performances of late as the Venetians now take on a frankly bizarre and unpredictable AC Milan side.

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – Select matches will be televised on CBS Sports so it is worth checking their schedule

Venezia Preview: Venetian improvement

Much like last season when in charge of eventually relegated Frosinone, Eusebio Di Francesco has eventually tried to lock things down defensively in charge of his struggling Venezia side but it may well be a case of too little too late as they remain well in danger.

The Venetians come into this one on the back of a 2-2 draw with Empoli in a game in which they took a late lead but conceded just a couple of minutes later. That does mean they have suffered just one defeat in eight matches but they have also managed just one victory in that time.

AC Milan Preview: Coppa Italia delight

Sergio Conceicao is expected to depart AC Milan at the end of the season and reports would suggest he isn’t even in charge right now but the Rossoneri, somehow, enjoyed yet another impressive Derby della Madonnina victory in the Coppa Italia in midweek.

Milan have endured a difficult season but after winning the Supercoppa Italiana in Conceicao’s first games in charge in January with a come from behind defeat of Inter in the final, they hammered Inter by three goals to nil in the cup the other day to make the Coppa final.

Venezia Team News: Nothing fresh

There are no fresh injury concerns for Venezia to deal with as the likes of Filip Stankovic, Michael Svoboda and Domen Crnigoj remain sidelined for the hosts, whilst defender Richie Sagrado is also a doubt for Venezia.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Radu; Marcandalli, Idzes, Cande; Zerbin, Kike Perez, Caviglia, Doumbia, Ellertsson; Busio, Gytkjaer

Unavailable: Stankovic (Injured), Svoboda (Injured), Crnigoj (Injured)

Questionable: Sagrado (Injured)

AC Milan Team News: Change of shape

In the last few weeks, AC Milan have taken the decision to switch from a back four to a back three and it has worked in the cup. In the league they have remained below average and they have key doubts such as right-backs Kyle Walker and Emerson Royal.

Predicted XI (3-4-3): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Alex Jimenez, Fofana, Reijnders, Hernandez; Pulisic, Jovic, Leao

Unavailable:

Questionable: Walker (Injured), Emerson Royal (Injured)

Venezia vs AC Milan Prediction

Venezia have started to become more defensive and difficult to beat in the last couple of months as they appear to realise the situation down at the bottom end of Serie A and they have been able to frustrate the likes of Atalanta, Lazio and Napoli. They face an AC Milan side that have massively underwhelmed in Serie A as they sit in the middle-of-the-table so, despite their cup exploits, it may well be a good value bet to side with the hosts for this one in Venice.

Venezia vs AC Milan Tip: Double chance – Venezia to win or draw
