THE PREDICTION

World number 23 Alexander Bublik won his fourth career ATP title at the Montpellier Open at the start of the month but he has struggled to make a dent since, losing his second match in each of the last two tournaments to Milos Raonic and Alexei Popyrin. The 26-year-old’s maverick approach to serving favours the controlled conditions of indoor hardcourts but when he finds the rhythm required to fire off two first serves he is an imperious draw for anyone on hardcourts and grass. World number 28 Tallon Griekspoor enjoyed a brilliant run to the semi-finals of the Rotterdam Open two weeks ago, delighting home fans before falling to eventual champion Jannik Sinner. The Dutchman was in control of his match against Abedallah Shelbayh before his opponent was forced to retire on Monday but this will be a much steeper challenge against Bublik, who leads their head-to-head 3-0. Bublik came back from a set down to beat up-and-coming Tomas Machac on Monday to look strong but this could go either way between two players in form. Back Bublik to earn at least a set to leave the victor up to chance.

TIP: ALEXANDER BUBLIK TO WIN A SET
