It has been a truly miserable tri-series for England, who have taken all the positivity from an impressive white ball summer at home and effectively thrown it down the toilet in Pakistan. Three defeats from three have seen them eliminated with a game to spare after Sri Lanka defeated the hosts comfortably last time out.
However, despite England’s terrible series, they should be favoured to come out on top here. Sri Lanka’s focus will no doubt be on Saturday’s final, while Harry Brook’s side needs a good result in order to come away with something positive to take from what has been such a disappointing showing. Motivation for England is higher, so back them to finish with victory.
