Stoke vs Cardiff Prediction

Both of these sides would have headed into the season expecting to be able to challenge towards the top six and the playoff places but are instead looking over their shoulders.

Stoke City, onto their third permanent manager of the campaign in Mark Robins after the sackings of Steven Schumacher and Narcis Pelach, earned their first win inside 90 minutes of the Robins era last weekend as the Potters came from behind to defeat fellow strugglers Hull City by two goals to one thanks to goals from Ali Al Hamadi and Andrew Moran.

Cardiff City, who sacked Umut Bulut in September and didn’t appoint his replacement Omer Riza on a permanent basis until December, have improved under Riza but remain just a few points clear of the drop zone in the second-tier. The Bluebirds come into this one on the back of being annihilated by seven goals to nil at Elland Road against Leeds United last weekend.

Mark Robins led Coventry City to the semi-finals of the FA Cup last season and were cruelly beaten by Manchester United after extra-time. His Potters won after extra-time at Sunderland last month and, with home advantage, will hope to continue their improved form here.

Stoke vs Cardiff Tip: Stoke to win
