Southampton vs Stoke prediction

Following their relegation from the Premier League last season, Southampton began their campaign with a dramatic come from behind 2-1 defeat of Wrexham at St Mary’s on the opening day with two late goals. That has been followed by a victory over Northampton Town in the cup before a 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

Stoke City have underperformed for quite a few years and now the Potters have started the campaign very well with Mark Robins’ first pre-season. The Potters were much the better side as they needed late goals to come from behind to ease past Derby County before a 3-0 hammering of crisis club Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough last week.

Southampton have an abundance of options, and a lot of variety to their attack, whilst Stoke will be confident as they head down south so this should be quite a fun watch for the neutral.

Southampton vs Stoke tip: Both teams to score
