Slovakian champions Slovan Bratislava were one of the weakest of the 36 teams in last season’s UEFA Champions League league phase, but they remain one of the stronger sides in this season’s second qualifying round.
Champions of the Premier League of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Zrinjski Mostar, began their European campaign with a 4-1 aggregate defeat of Sammarinese champions Virtus in the first qualifying round. They began with a 2-0 defeat of Virtus in San Marino, before then limping through to the next round with a 2-1 victory in the second-leg, with Nemanja Bilbija scoring three goals in the tie.
Zrinjski were far from emphatic and impressive against a poor Virtus side, so backing Slovan Bratislava looks the way to go for this one in the Slovakian capital.
