Having both been in the inaugural 36-team league phase of the UEFA Champions League last season, one of these teams will be in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League this season, with the other in the UEFA Europa Conference League instead.
Slovan Bratislava suffered a shock penalty shootout loss to Kazakh champions Kairat Almaty in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League last week. Young Boys, on the other hand, are heading into their first European game of the campaign after a disappointing start to the 2025/26 Swiss Super League campaign in which they have managed just one victory in their opening four matches of the season.
Young Boys will try and play a slightly more aggressive style of football, with the usual energy and pressing, with both teams scoring often a very likely bet for this one in the Slovakian capital.
