Slovakia could do with a victory in Bratislava to pick up where they left off last month as they take on Luxembourg in the Slovakian capital city this week.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – FOX Sports

How to watch online: UK – Amazon Prime / US – Disney+

Key stats

  • Slovakia have won six of the previous eight international matches between these teams (D1 L1).
  • Slovakia have lost only one of their last ten World Cup qualifying matches at home (W7 D2).
  • Luxembourg have lost seven of their last eight World Cup qualifying matches (W1).

Slovakia vs Luxembourg prediction

Francesco Calzona and his Slovakia side began UEFA qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with an impressive 2-0 defeat of Germany in Bratislava. That was then backed up by snatching a victory late on against Luxembourg. However, they were most recently beaten 2-0 by Northern Ireland in Belfast the other day.

They face a Luxembourg side that had been beaten 3-1 by the aforementioned Northern Irish at home before their hard-fought loss to the Slovakians a few days later. So far in the October international break, they were beaten 4-0 by an unconvincing Germany side the other day.

Luxembourg had emerged as a relative force a couple of years ago but there has been a decline in the last 12 months and Slovakia should eventually ease to a win here.

Slovakia vs Luxembourg tip: Slovakia to win
