Sevilla Preview: Struggling Sevilla

For a third successive season Sevilla have had to chop and change managers in order to try and push away from the bottom three and the relegation places. However, Joaquin Caparros’ fifth tenure as Sevilla boss has not begun well and they remain in the relegation battle.

The Andalusian giants come into this one on the back of a 3-2 defeat to Celta Vigo at Balaidos up in Galicia at the weekend. That dramatic and entertaining loss to Celta means that they are now winless in their last eight matches in La Liga.

Las Palmas Preview: Destined for the drop

Under the management of Luis Carrion, Las Palmas were winless until the October international break before former Granada boss Diego Martinez came in and gave them a chance of survival but the Canary Islanders have once again collapsed in La Liga.

The visitors come into this one on the back of a third successive defeat. They hosted European chasing Rayo Vallecano at Estadio Gran Canaria at the weekend and suffered a 1-0 loss to Rayo with Alvaro Garcia scoring a 66th minute winner for the Madrid-based outfit.

Sevilla Team News: Jose Angel Carmona suspended

Sevilla defender Jose Angel Carmona is missing through suspension for Sevilla this weekend. As well as his absence, they will remain without winter transfer window signings Akor Adams and Ruben Vargas, who are both unavailable due to injury.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Nyland; Ramon Martinez, Bade, Gudelj, Kike Salas; Juanlu, Agoume, Saul, Adria Pedrosa; Lukebakio, Gatito

Unavailable: Jose Angel Carmona (Suspended), Nianzou (Injured), Adams (Injured), Vargas (Injured)

Questionable: Bade (Injured), Sambi Lokonga (Injured), Sow (Injured)

Las Palmas Team News: Couple of injuries

As they make the trip to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, Las Palmas are dealing with some key injury absentees for this one such as former Nottingham Forest centre-back Scott McKenna and Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Fabio Silva.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Horkas; Viti, Alex Suarez, Juanma Herzog, Mika Marmol; Javier Munoz, Essugo, Stefan Bajcetic, Alberto Moleiro; Januzaj, McBurnie

Unavailable: McKenna (Injured), Kirian Rodriguez (Illness), Silva (Injured)

Sevilla vs Las Palmas Prediction

Sevilla are just about in danger and they have been so poor of late that they will be legitimately fearful of falling into the second-tier. The Andalusians have lacked any sort of goal threat with a lack of quality or incision throughout their squad aside from Dodi Lukebakio. They face a Las Palmas side that simply just have to take the game to a fragile and vulnerable Sevilla so like it was against Leganes about ten days ago, as well as against Celta the other day, this could be quite an entertaining clash involving Sevilla this midweek.

Sevilla vs Las Palmas Tip: Both teams to score
