Scotland have put themselves in an excellent position to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as the Tartan Army now welcome a hapless Belarus to Hampden Park in Glasgow.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – FOX Sports

How to watch online: UK – Cannot be streamed / US – Disney+

Key stats

  • Scotland have lost only two of their last 20 World Cup qualifying matches (W13 D5) with eight wins in the ten most recent.
  • Scotland are unbeaten in their last 12 home matches in World Cup qualifying groups (W9 D3). This excludes their play-off defeat against Ukraine in June 2022 (L 1-3).
  • Belarus have lost their last ten World Cup qualifying matches. Since a 4-2 victory at home against Estonia in March 2021.

Scotland vs Belarus prediction

Scotland come into this on the back of a very poor performance but a seismic result as they came from behind to defeat Greece by three goals to one at Hampden Park. That came a month after a goalless draw with Denmark was backed up by a comfortable 2-0 victory over Belarus in Hungary to kick off their qualifying campaign.

They now face a Belarus side that have started their qualifying campaign miserably. They were beaten 5-0 by Greece in Athens in their opening game before that defeat to the Scots. Then, the other day, they were annihilated by Denmark by six goals to nil at the ZTE Arena in Hungary.

Belarus are a woeful side and were even easily beaten by an unconvincing Scottish side, and Steve Clarke’s side should grind themselves to another home win here.

Scotland vs Belarus tip: Scotland to win to nil
