Sassuolo preview: Mid-table Sassuolo

Following their promotion to the top-flight last season, Sassuolo have been impressive throughout this campaign as they sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table under the management of 2006 FIFA World Cup winner Fabio Grosso.

Sassuolo come into this one on the back of a frustrating defeat, though, as they succumbed to a 2-1 loss away at Genoa in a dramatic encounter that saw Caleb Ekuban pinch a late winner for the Genovese.

Como preview: Impressive Como

Cesc Fabregas’ Como have slipped out of the top four and the UEFA Champions League spots ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures after a dramatic loss to champions-elect Internazionale at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia last weekend.

Como were beaten 4-3 by the Nerazzurri in a game in which Como had taken a 2-0 lead in the first-half before Inter came from behind to go 4-2 up, ahead of a Lucas Da Cunha consolation from the penalty spot in the 89th minute.

Sassuolo team news: Couple of suspensions

Sassuolo are dealing with a couple of suspension issues for this one as left-back Josh Doig is now sidelined alongside Italy international attacking midfielder Domenico Berardi.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Muric; Walukiewicz, Idzes, Muharemovic, Coulibaly; Thorstvedt, Matic, Kone; Nzola, Pinamonti, Lauriente

Como team news: Sergi Roberto out

Former Barcelona man Sergi Roberto is a fresh absentee for Como this weekend, sidelined alongside versatile former AZ Alkmaar attacker Jayden Addai.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Butez; Van Der Brempt, Diego Carlos, Kempf, Alex Valle; Caqueret, Maximo Perrone; Diao, Nico Paz, Baturina; Douvikas

Unavailable: Sergi Roberto (Injured), Addai (Injured)

Sassuolo vs Como prediction

Sassuolo play quite an easy on the eye and entertaining style of football. They will be expected to do so again here against what can often, like last week, be an open Como. Como will be frustrated by last weekend but motivated further and they will head to the Mapei Stadium seeking to begin the end of their season how they mean to go on and a fun away win would appear a good bet for this one in Reggio-Emilia.
