San Antonio Bulo Bulo vs Penarol prediction
San Antonio Bulo Bulo have started their 2025 CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores group stage campaign with two victories and a defeat in their opening three matches. They earned themselves a much-needed 4-2 defeat of Independiente Petrolero in the Bolivian Primera Division at the weekend at Estadio Dr. Carlos Villegas.
They now face a Penarol side that, under the management of former Uruguay U20 boss Diego Aguirre, who is in his third stint as Penarol boss, come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat of Defensor Sporting at the weekend to mean that they are now unbeaten in their last seven matches across all competitions.
The reverse fixture between these two sides saw Penarol comfortably defeat San Antonio Bulo Bulo by two goals to nil in Uruguay but it will likely be a different story in Bolivia, albeit another low-scoring affair appears quite likely for this one in the high altitude of Cochabamba.
