Sabah vs Celje prediction

Valdas Dambrauskas’ Sabah finished fifth in the 2024/25 Azeri Premier League last season, and squeezed themselves into the UEFA Europa League as Azeri Cup winners for the first time ever. They are entering into a new era after the departure of former Romania international boss Vasili Berezutski.

They now face a Celje side that have earned themselves a bit more European pedigree than Sabah, with the Slovenians surprisingly reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League last season in a campaign in which they hammered Istanbul Basaksehir and also earned a 2-2 draw with Fiorentina.

Sabah weren’t very good last year and there are no signs they will have immediately improved, so Celje are the firm favourites for both legs of this tie.
