Rennes' superb four-game winning run was brought to a halt last time out by third-placed Lyon, who were 4-2 winners in a highly entertaining encounter at Groupama Stadium.
Franck Haise's Rennes are still in a promising fifth position in the table though, with a UEFA Champions League spot very much within their sights.
This will be a tough assignment for them though, given that visiting Paris FC have lost just one of their last ten Ligue 1 games, and most recently defeated Brest 4-0 on home turf.
Les Bleus are now firmly entrenched in mid-table but there has been little sign of them easing off in the closing weeks of the campaign.
