Metz head into the 27th match day of the campaign sitting six points adrift of the relegation playoff place and 14 points adrift of outright safety with three victories in 26 matches following their promotion to the top-flight last season.
The visitors come into this one on the back of a 4-3 defeat at home to Toulouse at Stade Saint-Symphorien, extending their losing streak five matches with one point collected in their last nine games.
