Real Valladolid Preview: Woeful Valladolid

Following their promotion to the top-flight of Spanish football last season, Real Valladolid have endured a miserable campaign both on and off the pitch as Real Valladolid head into the final three games of the campaign having collected just 16 points so far this season.

The hosts suffered a 27th defeat of the 2024/25 La Liga campaign at the weekend as they were beaten 2-1 by European chasing Real Mallorca in the Balearic Islands the other day, despite taking an 11th minute lead in that game in Palma de Mallorca.

Girona Preview: Still struggling

Coached by Michel, Girona have struggled throughout the campaign as they are hovering just a couple of places and a few points above the bottom three and the relegation places, having recently been dragged back into the relegation battle in La Liga ahead of this match day.

A couple of games ago they managed to pull off a much-needed 1-0 defeat of Real Mallorca but the Catalans then suffered a 1-0 loss to Villarreal at Montilivi the other day due to an 89th minute winner scored by Karl Etta Eyong.

Real Valladolid vs Girona Prediction

Real Valladolid supporters are protesting the running of the club by Ronaldo, who has said he wants to sell the club but has reportedly also then ignored offers for the club. They face a Girona side that have returned to a more pragmatic style with the return of some experienced heads into their side such as Cristhian Stuani and Portu. They have remained poor and difficult to watch but remain favourites for this one against such poor opposition.

Real Valladolid vs Girona Tip: Girona to win & under 3.5 goals
