Real Oviedo preview: Rock-bottom Oviedo
Following their long-awaited return to La Liga last season, Real Oviedo have struggled throughout the campaign but they have been much more difficult to beat in recent weeks and now begin the match day sitting six points adrift and still in touch.
The Asturians come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Villarreal at Estadio Carlos Tartiere in their most recent outing, last weekend. That means that they have now suffered just one defeat in their last six matches in La Liga.
Elche preview: In-form Elche
Eder Sarabia and his fun and attacking style of football led Elche to promotion last season and then an excellent first-half to this season but they have since regressed into a relegation battle.
However, the visitors have now enjoyed three victories in their last four matches in La Liga after they entertainingly defeated a distracted Atletico Madrid side by three goals to two at Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero in midweek.

Elche team news: No need to change

Questionable: Boayar (Injured)
Real Oviedo vs Elche prediction
Elche’s three wins in four matches has helped them push themselves away from the bottom three and the relegation places ahead of this match day. Oviedo are, comfortably, the lowest scorers in the division but they are becoming more awkward to play against and, with Elche’s form perhaps meaning they can again begin to settle for draws, or at least wins aren’t so urgent, another low-scoring contest seems a good bet.
Real Oviedo vs Elche tip: Under 2.5 goals
