REAL BETIS PREVIEW: IMPRESSIVE BETIS

Real Betis come into this one on the back of a hard-fought defeat of Slovenian side Celje by two goals to one in midweek at the Benito Villamarin to earn their first win of this season’s UEFA Europa Conference League league phase campaign.

In La Liga, they begin the weekend’s round of fixtures sitting where they have finished in each of the last two seasons, seventh, after a run of just one defeat in their last seven domestic outings coached by former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.

CELTA VIGO PREVIEW: SILKY CELTA

Since the appointment of B team coach Claudio Giraldez towards the end of last season, Celta Vigo have been entertaining to watch and their 12 matches so far this season have consisted of a combined total of 38 goals with 18 scored and 20 conceded.

The Galicians come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat of Getafe at Balaidos last weekend with a seventh minute winning goal from Greece international striker Tasos Douvikas before Getafe went down to ten men in the second-half.

REAL BETIS VS CELTA VIGO PREDICTION

Real Betis have lost quite a few key attackers due to injury, such as Isco, or late sales in the summer, such as Nabil Fekir and Ayoze Perez, so they aren’t as high scoring as they could be but Manuel Pellegrini’s tactics remain generally attacking and proactive. They now face one of La Liga’s main entertainers who will always be front foot so both teams scoring seems a good bet in what should be quite a fun contest for the neutral.
