Much like the other CAF Champions League semi-final between Al Ahly and the Mamelodi Sundowns, Pyramids and the Orlando Pirates shared a goalless draw last week in the first-leg.

Pyramids vs Orlando Pirates prediction

Coached by former Croatia international Krunoslav Jurcic, Pyramids FC have started their Egyptian Premier League Championship playoff campaign with back-to-back draws but they remain four points clear of the aforementioned Al Ahly at the top-of-the-table. They squeezed through their quarter-final against AS FAR despite losing the second-leg by two goals to nil.

They now face an Orlando Pirates side that are second in the South African top-flight, sitting 12 points behind the dominant side domestically, the Mamelodi Sundowns. Their CAF Champions League quarter-final tie saw them edge past Algerian Ligue 1 side MC Alger by a goal to nil on aggregate.

That would suggest their low-scoring nature on the continent, and even domestically, isn’t a one off and, regardless of the end result here, a low-scoring affair is to be expected.

Pyramids vs Orlando Pirates tip: Under 2.5 goals
