Platense vs Coquimbo prediction
After winning the Argentine Apertura for the first time in their history in 2026, Platense's debut entry in the Copa Libertadores has so far gone to plan, with Walter Zunino's side having reached the round of 16 after coming second in Group E behind Corinthians.
Although their domestic form in 2026 hasn't been of the same level as last year, they will still fancy their chances against Chilean opposition here.
Coquimbo's first Copa Libertadores participation since 1992 has seen them reach the knockout stage for the first time, after topping a competitive Group B.
With Platense at home in this first leg, they should be worth backing here, although it is unlikely to be a one-sided affair against a Coquimbo outfit who have acquitted themselves well so far.
