Paris Saint-Germain Preview: Brilliant Parisiens

Paris Saint-Germain won their third trophy of the campaign last weekend, following on from winning the Trophee des Champions and Ligue 1, as they hammered Stade de Reims by three goals to nil in the Coupe de France final at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis.

Paris Saint-Germain have been magnificent throughout this campaign, but particularly in the second-half of the campaign with a slick and cohesive, attacking style of football as Luis Enrique seeks the second treble of his impressive managerial career.

Inter Milan Preview: Hungry Inter

Two years ago, Inter suffered a slender 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in Istanbul in the UEFA Champions League final but the Nerazzurri are back again and hungry to go one step further, especially after missing out on the defence of their Serie A title last week.

On the final day of the 2024/25 Serie A campaign, Inter defeated Como by two goals to nil but Napoli also won by the same scoreline against Cagliari to mean that Antonio Conte won his sixth league title, edging past Inter by a point at the top-of-the-table.

Paris Saint-Germain Team News: Doue or Barcola

PSG head into the final with just one injury concern as defender Nordi Mukiele is now unavailable. The biggest selection dilemma for Luis Enrique is between Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola on the right-side of the attack with the former most likely to get the nod against an Inter side that are set to sit a bit deeper.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Vitinha, Neves, Ruiz; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia

Unavailable: Mukiele (Injured)

Questionable:

Inter Milan Team News: A few doubts

Inter’s star man, Lautaro Martinez, hasn’t played much since the second-leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final against Barcelona but he will be expected to start in Munich. Inzaghi is dealing with a few injury doubts such as defensive duo Benjamin Pavard and Yann Bisseck, as well as midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Darmian, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Mkhitaryan, Calhanoglu, Barella, Dimarco; Thuram, Martinez

Unavailable: Carboni (Injured)

Questionable: Bisseck (Injured), Pavard (Injured), Zielinski (Injured)

Paris Saint-Germain vs Inter Milan Prediction

PSG play a slick and aggressive style of football, on the front foot from the off as they seek to suffocate their opposition by dominating possession but with the ability to pounce quickly in transition. They will be expected to dominate the territory and the ball but that may well suit Inter, with their more defensive mindset. Inter also showed their own capabilities in the final third against Barca a couple of weeks ago, able to score seven goals against the Blaugrana, albeit with Barca playing their high-line. PSG have been brilliant but the experience and control of Inter means siding with the Nerazzurri may well be the way to go for a game that is so often decided by fine margins.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Inter Milan Tip: Double chance – Inter Milan to win or draw
