How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – Not televised

How to watch online: UK – FIFA+ / US – FIFA+

Key Stats

  • Nigeria have lost only one of their last 14 World Cup qualifying matches (W5 D8).
  • Nigeria have lost only one of their last 45 World Cup qualifying matches in Nigeria (W36 D8).
  • Benin have won their last three World Cup qualifying matches without conceding a goal.
  • Benin are aiming to win four successive World Cup qualifying matches for only the second time (they previously did so in the 2010 edition).

Nigeria vs Benin Prediction

In Group C of CAF qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Benin sit at the top on 17 points with South Africa in second on 15 and Nigeria back on 14. If the star studded Nigerians were to win this one, though, then they would finish above Benin on the head-to-head rule. However, if that was to happen and South Africa beat Rwanda then Bafana Bafana would finish above both and qualify for next summer.

Nigeria have perhaps the best squad in Arrica but they have majorly underperformed in this qualifying group. The Super Eagles did manage to squeeze past Lesotho the other day, whilst Benin defeated Rwanda.

Benin will be difficult to face for a Nigeria side that have lacked cohesion and a low-scoring encounter seems likely regardless of the end match result.

Nigeria vs Benin Tip: Under 3.5 goals
