Nice Preview: Pushing for Europe
Nice endured a poor run of form through much of the spring either side of the March international break but ending a losing streak with a draw against Strasbourg a few weeks ago has now been backed up by much-needed back-to-back victories.
They edged past Angers by two goals to one a fortnight ago and then backed that up by becoming the first team to defeat PSG in Ligue 1 with a 3-1 defeat of the unbeaten champions thanks to a brace from Morgan Sanson as well as a Youssouf Ndayishimiye strike.
Reims Preview: Reims’ run
Stade de Reims started the season brightly under Luka Elsner but had completely collapsed for a couple of months before the appointment of Samba Diawara in late-February and, in his first game in charge, they reached the semi-finals of the Coupe de France.
Since the March international break, Reims have been much-improved as they try and push away from the bottom three and the danger zone. The visitors edged past Toulouse by a goal to nil at Stade Auguste-Delaune II last weekend thanks to a Jordan Pefok winner.
Nice Team News: Defensive injuries
Nice have several key defensive injury issues ahead of the visit of Reims this weekend with 43-year-old centre-back Dante joined on the sidelines by the likes of Mohamed Abdelmonem and Moise Bombito, whilst wing-back Ali Abdi is also a doubt for Nice.

Unavailable: Dante (Injured), Abdelmonem (Injured), Moise Bombito (Injured), Ndombele (Injured)
Questionable: Abdi (Injured)
Reims Team News: A few issues
Ahead of the trip down south this weekend, Reims are dealing with a fresh injury concern in attack as Japan international Junya Ito is a doubt for the visitors. They also a few long-term absentees such as Yaya Fofana, Reda Khadra and Mohamed Daramy.
Predicted XI (3-4-3): Diouf; Sekine, Kipre, Sergio Akieme; Buta, Atangana, Kone, Sangui; Diakhon, Pefok, Nakamura
Unavailable: Fofana (Injured), Khadra (Injured), Daramy (Injured)

Nice vs Reims Prediction
Nice and Reims both head into this weekend on the back of some impressive performances and much-needed improved form as Nice, under Franck Haise, challenge for a top four finish and potential UEFA Champions League qualification, whilst the visitors push clear from trouble down at the bottom end of the table as they prepare for their Coupe de France final against PSG at the Stade de France in May. Nice remain favourites with their home advantage but Reims will head down south with a lot of confidence.
